People are ridiculous! These girls go to places and willing get injected with potentially dangerous materials in order to keep up with the latest trend. WHY?! I can't even imagine. It doesn't even look human. I honestly can't fathom why someone would choose to get that done to them self. When the fab is over, then what? The article says "saline solution that is too concentrated can overload the body's capacity to process salt," and yet, people continue to do it- in the most important part of the body, the head! Again, I ask: WHY?!
How does this even become a fashion trend? Who decided it would be complementary to their appearance to look like they have a bagel implanted in their skin, and how did enough people agree with them to make it something that was fashionable to do? I swear, I will never comprehend society's ability to make something objectively terrible into a cultural phenomenon. Like bagel heads, or Rebecca Black.
ReplyDelete"Rebecca Black". Nice touch. And I completely agree. It is sickening the length that people will go to either stand out, or to conform. And this isn't even healthy. This is why people should focus less on the media and more on what they like.
ReplyDeleteThis is crazy! I did not even know about this until I read this article! Wild! I wonder if there are trends or fashion fads here in the US that are potentially bad for you and how would you combat something like that? For example, wearing your jeans "sagged" has been shown to cause some potentially long term damage to a person's hips and gait, what do you do to combat something like that? Can you?
ReplyDeleteI actually think it is hilarious that sagging jeans causes problems. The trend is stupid and doesn't even make sense. If we wanted to see peoples underwear than we would not be wearing pants in the first place. I don't know who started this trend, or even any trend, but if people did and wore what makes them happy then we would not have things like "bagel heads" popping up in Asia.
