Man dies after being hit by semi-truck

Noway! Really? A man was killed after being hit by a semi-truck? SHOCKING!... I'm sorry, but I don't understand the news today. Obviously I feel awful for the person that died. That is horrible! But is this really what news has come to? Clearly if a man is hit by a semi-truck they are going to die, and frankly there are more important deaths that should be published in the news. So why did the Chicago Tribune choose this death to publicize? I have no idea. Maybe because the news thinks the public is too stupid to realize that they are only writing pointless articles to fill space. If the article had been about a man being hit by a semi-truck and living then I would understand, but this accident had the sad but predictable outcome. Aside from that, this news had no purpose. I thought the news was out there to inform. But all this did was tell a story. There was no way to prevent this from happening. The man was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. If the man or the truck driver had somehow caused this and the news was publishing this article in order to make sure people are more safe then at least that would make sense. I just don't understand how this is news. People die everyday, some from worse things than being hit by a semi, so no offense, but what makes his death so special?
