This article discusses the shooting at a Connecticut school, in which twenty children and six adults were shot and killed. It discuesses that there is no evidence that the murderer was on medication that could have prevented him from having the desire to kill. But i don't understadn how that is even an issue for discussion. This is not a matter of mental sickness, in myopinion. Obviously this man had thought through his plan. He did not walk into the class room and just shoot randomly. He executed the children, walking around the room and making sure that eah child was dead. This was well calculated and he was prepared. Although the shooter may have been unstable, though, I don't see how that is something to headline. I feel like because people are too fragile. They are always searching for an explanation as to why someone would do something so horrible, because with out an answer they have nothing but the fear that this will happen again. And it will. I'm sure it will. There will always be horrible people in the world. And THAT is what we should be focusing on. We should be working on a way to stop bullying, giving children more comfortable lives, because if we continue on the way we have been, there will always be people out there that don't feel like anyone cares to make a difference in their lives so they think, why should they care about others. Now, I am not sure if that was the thought process of this disgusting man, but I do feel like in our society we ignore the things that could most easily be changed to help prevent stuff like that from happening. Each time there is a bombing or a shooting, everyone acts so suprised, like "how could this possibly happen?!" MAYBE it is because after a while we forget about bad events until something new comes along. We need to stop making excuses and actually remember the bad things so we can prevent more from happening.
